Can we bring our own food or caterer?
Unfortunately, No. Grand Catering, one of the East Bay’s most established and reputable catering companies, owns and operates The Grandview Pavilion. If you are not familiar with our company, please visit our sister website, www.cateringfood.com. The number one compliment that we receive from our clients at The Grandview Pavilion is our fabulous cuisine and our wide variety of menus. If you are concerned about tailoring a menu to your needs, we will be happy to create a custom menu for your event.
Do you allow outside beverages?
Unfortunately, No. We are very strict on our “no outside beverages” policy due to insurance reasons. The Grandview Pavilion has five different beverage packages as well as a specialty wines and champagne list. If you do not see your favorite beverage included in our menus, please let us know and we will be happy to order it for you.
What is included in our package at GVP?

The tax in Alameda county is 9.75% and is applied to your total bill.
Do I need to schedule an appointment to reserve a date and place my deposit?
At The Grandview Pavilion, we realize that your time is valuable. In most cases, almost any event can be arranged by phone, e-mail or fax. We are happy to accept a credit card over the phone or you may simply mail us a check with a signed contract.
Does The Grandview Pavilion charge a cake-cutting fee?
No. Almost all services are included in the service charge. We will provide all forks, plates, napkins, cutting knives and spatulas, and handle the cake cutting at no additional cost to you.

In most cases, your final balance is due 30 days prior to your event and is based on your estimated guest count at that time. If your count increases after that date, based on the increase, that balance is due two days prior to your event.
Can I have my ceremony on site?
Absolutely! Many of our guests choose to exchange vows at The Grandview Pavilion. We have two areas (one inside and one outside) where we hold our ceremonies. Please keep in mind that you must also be holding your receptions at GVP. We do not conduct ceremonies only.
Can I bring in my own chair covers or do we have to get them from you?
You are welcome to bring in your own covers. Just keep in mind that you only have two hours prior to your event to do your set up. Also, the chairs that we have at the Grandview Pavilion are custom made; therefore you may want to bring a sample of your cover beforehand to make sure that they fit our chairs properly.
